“It usually takes me more than three weeks to prepare a good impromptu speech.”

- Mark Twain

The purpose of our Presentation and Debate Club is to inspire confidence in kids to express themselves, with the ability to communicate effectively and deliver gracefully.

Get ready to sharpen your wits, understand varied perspectives, put up your listening ears, reach outside your comfort zone, and justify your position.

Be creative, be logical and be okay with losing!

Students are provided with a social topic of the day. They are encouraged to discuss and view the issue from all perspectives. The final presentation will incorporate their writing, research and the stage technique of the day. Regular activities and games will be included to inspire interest and boost confidence.

Older kids, are encouraged to keep up with current affairs and are taught in detail, the specifics around debating, including: rules, case preparation, citing sources, affirmative positioning, point delivery, logical structures, topic definition, rebuttal techniques, spotting fallacies etc. Once ready, regular mock debates will be held on social issues to create awareness.
